I build apps end to end, and host them on my own iPhones
Full-stack engineer working across native iOS, React Native and Next.js, from the product down to the servers it runs on.
Featured Product
An ordering app I built to sell to Uncommon Grounds, the coffee roaster and bagel bakery with cafés across New York's Capital Region.
The cafés take online orders through a third-party site. I rebuilt the whole experience as a product they can own: the customer app, the staff tools and the printers behind the counter.
Self-Hosted
No cloud servers. These apps are served from a jailbroken iPhone on my desk, reachable worldwide through Cloudflare Tunnel.
movie.mubashar.cc
Native SwiftUI apps for iPhone and Mac that play movies, shows and live TV (VLCKit), backed by a Next.js admin dashboard and API. Accounts, My List and watch progress stay in sync on every device.

iphone-hub.mubashar.cc
One dashboard for my whole fleet of jailbroken iPhones: notifications, shell and a live terminal, packages, system logs, screenshots and automations, for one phone or all of them at once. Password protected.

A Datadog-style monitor I wrote for the phones. Requests per second, p95 latency, error rates, process memory and live logs for every app they host.

uncommon-api.mubashar.cc
The backend for the Uncommon Grounds app runs on the same iPhone, with its own tunnel and daemons, so each app deploys and fails on its own. Bundled with esbuild into one file: no node_modules on the phone.
Earlier Work
Full-stack web apps from work and from building on my own.
Happy Employers
Don't take my word for it. See what my clients have to say about my work.
Mubashar worked for me as a co-op in the second half of 2023. He did great work for us, and showed proficiency in to both backend and frontend technologies. He picks up concepts quickly, and always is on the look out for new ideas/technologies. He would be a great addition to any agile development team.
